The Opposition in Parliament is tactically delaying the appointment of the next leader of Opposition awaiting the cabinet that Museveni is set to appoint.
The former shadow minister of internal affairs in the shadow cabinet who is also the Makindye west MP Hussein Kyanjo says that they are waiting on the appointment because they will base on the kind of character for the leader of government business to appoint the leader of opposition.
Kyanjo says it would be naivety on the side of the opposition to go ahead and appoint the leader of opposition and the various portfolios in the shadow cabinet.
He also says that well aware of Museveni’s revolutionary leadership style which may see him appoint his wife as Vice President and his son as Prime Minister, it is necessary that they wait and see who their next opponent would be.
The opposition had been expected to name their leader in Parliament today but there is likelihood that the anticipation may not come true as by Kyanjo’s explanation.
The shadow cabinet formed by the opposition in Parliament is formed from across the opposition board in Parliament involving all opposition parties.
