The Director of Uganda Aids Commission (UAC) Dr. Kihumuro Apuuli has advised the public to change their sexual behaviors in order to reduce on escalating spread of HIV/AIDS.

Dr. Kihumuro says despite the application of all biomedical interventions such as prevention of mother to child transmission, voluntary counseling and testing and other means, nothing can change when people continue engaging in multiple sexual relationships.

He says according to the Demographic and healthy survey in the past 12 months 28% of men and 2% women reported having had more than one sexual partner.

Dr. Kihumuro says that the Government must also devise means of self sustainability rather than over depending on donations for the relief drugs.
