Opposition Democratic Party has apologized to its former President Dr Paul Ssemwogerere for participating in the walk to work campaign.
The DP President Norbert Mao says Ssemwogerere never used any harsh means during his time in office as President to seek justice.
Mao says that as a party, DP is ashamed to have thrown stones when Ssemwogerere is still alive.
Mao warns DP members who are planning to cause bloodshed in the country to consider returning party cards.
Meanwhile, Nobert Mao has described Ssemwogerere as an asset of knowledge to assess the state and provide alternative solutions to the problems of the time.
Ssemwogerere was the longest ever DP Party President in the party’s history having reigned for over 25 years.
