Leading opposition party, Forum for Democratic Change has said that the full list of the shadow cabinet is slated to be out on Wednesday this week after the completion of all the pending processes.
Speaking to the press today, FDC’s secretary for publicity, Hon. Philip Wafula Ogutu states that, the leader of opposition, Nathan Nandala Mafabi is expected to name the new shadow cabinet since the party president is out of the country.
The opposition party says they have agreed on Kasiano Wadri to be Chairperson of the powerful public Accounts Committee, a position formerly occupied by Mafabi.
The party has also appointed Abdul Katuntu as the Shadow Attoney General, replacing Erias Lukwago. Ogutu says other members of the shadow cabinet will be named on Wednesday.
Ogutu criticizes the new cabinet as picked by the president of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni saying nothing much will be done by that cabinet since a yes team for the president.
Oguttu blames M7 for selecting Naser Ntege Ssebagala as one of the ministers, noting that these are signs of rewarding those who crossed over to NRM.
