The people of Karamaja have said that the ministerial choice President Museveni made for them is poor.

Last weekend, the President produced a list of appointed ministers and allocated the Busia district Woman Member of Parliament, Barbara Negesa Oundo as  State Minister Minister in-charge of Karamoja sub-region.

The Nakapiripit Woman MP, Iriama Rose says that the combination of the Cabinet Minister in-charge of Karamoja, Jennet Kataha Museveni and State Minister for the same region, Oundo is wrong because the duo are aliens to the region and none knows the local languages.

Iriama adds that the state ministry would have been given to an indigenous person to linkup well with Jennet Museveni.

However, Iriama says that the Karamajong are happy with the reappointment of Ms. Jennet Museveni and thank the President for promoting her to a cabinet minister.

In a related development, the Kingdom of Bunyoro has also criticized the appointment of the Kibuku county MP, Sale Kamba as a state minister in charge of Bunyoro region.

The Bunyoro Kingdom Prime Minister, Eng. Yabeezi Kiiza says that they have many educated people who would have been given the post than appointing a Mugwere from Kibuku district who will face a language barrier problem adding that being a first time minister he will not manage Bunyoro.

Kiiza says that Bunyoro has a lot problems ranging from colonial to the recent oil discoveries which can only be handled by a native of the area.
