The local government minister Adolf Mwesige has warned the newly sworn in local government leaders against evil corruption practices.
Mwesige says that some areas in Uganda have remained undeveloped due to corruption and lack of follow up and supervision of some leaders.
The minister warns councilors and other leaders to resist from being awarded district tenders but to serve their people wholeheartedly.
At the same event, the Burahya county Member of Parliament in Kabarole district Stephen Kagwera says that leaders should unite and be focused on how to develop their areas of jurisdiction.
It remains a challenge to all leaders on whether efficient service delivery and accountability will be released since it was an everyday song during the campaign period.
