The opposition has named its shadow cabinet comprising 25 appointees.

Abdu Katuntu is the shadow Attorney general replacing Elias Lukwago who is now the Kampala mayor, Geoffrey Ekanya is shadow minister for finance, planning and economic development while Beatrice Anywar is energy, oil and mineral Development shadow minister.

Matthias Mpuuga becomes the shadow presidency and anti-corruption minister, Wafula Oguttu becomes shadow minister information, Medard Ssegona is Justice and Constitutional Affairs’ shadow minister and Epatait Francis is shadow for agriculture.

Others are Hussein Kyanjo (internal affairs), Ken Lukyamuzi (Environment), Ibrahim Nganda (lands and physical planning), Lulume Bayiga (Health), Judith Akello Franca (Education)’, Ibi Florence Ekwau (gender), Benson Obua (ICT), Hassan Kaps Fungaroo (defence0, Ssubuliba Mutumba Works and infrastructural development), Jack Wamayi Wamanga (Foreign affairs), Cecilia Ogwal Atim (rehabilitation, relief and Disaster preparedness), Kaginda Mugume (Public service), William Nzoghu (Housing and urban development), Kevina Taaka (Tourism, trade and industry).

Nambooze Betty is shadow minister local government, Ochola Stephen shadow minister special regions, Acire Christopher youth and Sports, betty Aol is deputy chief whip while the deputy leader of opposition is to be appointed according to the released cabinet line up.
