The Makindye Municipality Mayor, Dr. Ian Clerk has met the giant business class and educationists in Makindye municipality to brainstorm on fighting unemployment in the area.

While addressing the meeting, Ian said that as members of the municipality they should make it an obligation to create jobs for the youths who tend to be a security threat if they remain unemployed.

Ian urged the people of Makindye and all Ugandans at large to reduce the perception of foreign dependency because they are human beings as the Whites from whom they ask aid.

He added that if the local resources are properly utilized everyone would become rich and unemployment would be nonexistent.

Ian Clerk, an Irish born Whiteman, says that in his 5-years term that started in May 2011 as a mayor of Makindye, he will mainly concentrate on health services and fight unemployment in the area.

Dr. Ian Clerk owns International Hospital Kampala and International Air Ambulance among other wealth.
