The Uganda Roman Catholic Church Archbishop, Cyprian Kizito Lwanga has asked politicians to embrace reconciliation and justice in the country.
In particular, the Bishop urges the government to play a role of uniting people irrespective of their political affiliations as the bible requires.
His Eminence Lwanga asks the politicians to practice the biblical verse that teaches people to forgive those who annoy them.
The Bishop thanks the government for its good programs like Prosperity for All and free education among others but says in absence of justice and reconciliation God remains annoyed.
The Archbishop was talking at the Uganda Martyrs day celebrations that had attracted politicians and Christians across the globe on June 3 at Namugongo Shrines in Kampala.
The function was also attended by Vice President Edward Sekandi on behalf of the government who thanked the churches for the role they play in promoting morality among the people.
