Uganda opposition wants more resources for health, agriculture and infrastructure in 2011/2012 budget

With the country now waiting to hear the budget reading slated for Wednesday this week by the finance minister  Maria Kiwanuka, leading opposition party FDC is advising govt to increase the budget allocation for health, agriculture and transport.

Speaking to reporters today at party offices in Kampala, FDC’s deputy publicist, Toterebuka Bamwenda says the health sector should be allocated 15% of the whole budget, agriculture more than 10% since it’s the back bone of the country if the country is to improve her standards.

However, the party confirms that its boss, Dr. Kizza Besigye is soon coming back to Uganda after successfully receiving treatment in the US.
