The prime minster Amama Mbabazi has defended the President over appointing Beatrice Wabudeya as Minister for Kampala and later dropping the ministry.
Mbabazi was speaking in an attempt to clarify on the fate of Beatrice Wabudeya whose post is currently on a pendulum with the public speculating that her post has been scrapped and currently holds no government post.
Mbabazi says the President decided to shelve the ministry and Wabudeya’s appointment was discounted.
But Mbabazi states that the president has a right to appoint any person on any post or create a post in the government.
Wabudeya, a former minister for presidency was appointed by the president as minister for Kampala before scrapping the post due to reports from opposition that the said position is unconstitutional.
