The outgoing minister of health Dr Steven Malinga has advised government to recentralize health if health services are to be distributed equally. Malinga made the comment while handing over office to the new minister of health Christine Andoa.
He said that decentralized of health created a lot of health systems for every district and enhanced tribalism living some areas without health workers.
Meanwhile the incoming minister pointed out her first priority as the implementation of the health sector strategic and investments plan as well spending much of her time lobbying for the remuneration of health of health workers and more health workers.
She said that the former minister had already started on the two and therefore she will start from where he stopped.
One of the key highlighted in the ministry by the outgoing ministry was the shortage of health workers in the ministry.
