Kampala capital city authority Director Jeniffer Namusisi worried of funding shortage

Kampala capital chat it will not be able to mobilize enough funds to implement some of its activities this financial year.

This comes after it reported a 182 billion budget cut due to a limited revenue base. The authority executive director Jennifer Musisi Semakula says they had a projection of 44 billion which is far below the required amount of 226 billion shillings.

She says of the gap, Kampalaa Capital City Authority will not be able to conduct the recruitment exercise, collect all the garbage generated in the city and strengthen revenue mobilization.

Jennifer Musisi now is asking the government to consider breaching the funding gap to enable the authority turn around the image of the city.

Meanwhile the authority says it will need e3 billion shillings to cater for major renovation of the city hall and division offices.
