Decision whether to separate the co-joined twins set mid this week

The decision whether to separate the co-joined twins is to be made mid this week. The twins who are joined at the abdomen where born in Kabala south western Uganda last week to 24 year old Rosette Tusiime and transferred to Mulago hospital last week.

Preminarly results from the scans and tests conducted last week reviles that the twins share a liver. The hospital public relations officer Dan Kimoso says the doctors continue to examine the babies with the focus on the heart and blood flow.

He says doctors will come up with a comprehensive report by mid this week on which decision on whether or not to carry the operation hear will be based.
