Neptune petroleum Uganda is in process of drilling another well in the west Nile Rhino camp after failing to discover oil in its last two attempts.
The new attempt according to a top company official is based on a new prospect located over 15 kilometers away from the spot they last explored.
The new exploration site is located on the eastern side of river Nile. Rashid Mugabe the senior manager Neptune Uganda says despite the encouraging results from detailed company remains conservative about the chances of success.
There has been speculation that Neptune is shifting its attention to Namibia after the two failures but Mugabe says the company has not yet given up on Uganda’s exploitation.
