Police in fort portal are holding a man in his late 40s who allegedly defiled his 12 year biological daughter.

The police have identified the suspect as Lazarus Byaruhanga a resident of Kabareri village in Kabonero Sub County Bunyangabu county Kabarole district.

According to the western region police spokesman Mugga Bakari, the suspect committed the criminal offence on Monday while he was drunk.

Byaruhanga was arrested after a tip off from the victim’s relatives; he is to be charges of aggravated defilement when investigations are complete.
