Sports state minister Charles Bakabulindi has issued a directive to the management of Nakivubo stadium warning them against charging sports fans toilet fees.
According to Bakabilindi, the management of the stadium is not supposed to charge fans toilet fees every time there is a sports match taking place at the old stadium.
Bakabulindi’s directive came after receiving various reports and complaints indicating how fans are forced to pay for toilets yet they have already paid entry fees to watch football matches that take place at the venue.
He says double charging people discourage supporters from turning up for sports activities yet the sector is trying to restore lost support for sports among people.
However, according to sources, Bakabulindi is not bothered whether the stadium authorities charge people for toilets during other non-sports occasions like radio bashes, church functions among others, but only concerned about sports matters.
