The new minister in charge of planning, Matia Kasaija has revealed plans by the government to have in place a career guidance for all students moving to higher institutions of learning over the courses they want to take in relation to the current job market.
Speaking in a meeting with the staff of National planning authority in Kampala, Kasaija said, this is geared at reducing the numbers of student who get out of universities and fail to get jobs.
Kasaija also mentioned that the government is taking on all stake holders to have a uniform mind set so as to properly plan for the nation. He called for proper allocation of resources despite the challenges.
The chairman of the National Planning Authority, Dr. Kisamba Mugerwa feels that they are on course in regards to implementing the five year national development plan which has only rolled off one year.
