Preparations to demolish and reconstruct Fort Portal main market Mpanga are in high gear, the town clerk Atwooko Ambrose has revealed.

The town clerk says that his office is in its final stages of leveling ground where the current market which houses over 500 venders are to be re-located.

Atwooko says that when the construction is complete, the market is expected to provide enough space to enable other Ugandans join the business industry.

He says that according to the plan, the four billion storied market structures will be installed with water and electricity, which will be operating all day long.
