The Ministry of Lands has said that the certification documents presented by most lawyers in courts are undependable.

According to the research conducted by the Lands Ministry, the documents from lawyers certifying the ownership of lands are not done with independent minds.

Sarah Kulata Basangwa, a commissioner in the Lands Ministry says many lawyers present their clients with fake certificates in order to make money quickly without followed due process of certifying land ownership in the ministry of Lands.

Kitakule says that in doing fake certification, lawyers are becoming causers of land wrangles which result in deaths.

Without divulging the identity of the scrupulous lawyers Sarah asks the Uganda Law Society to become tough on rogue lawyers because they are in the sensitive profession that needs people with sober minds.
