The UPDF soldiers have shot dead two Karamajong warriors in Teso region. The army says the warriors were shot as they tried to escape with cows from a kral in Katakwi district.
Third division army spokesperson Capt. Deo Akiiki says the Karamajong warriors have resorted to using the home made guns and arrows to conduct raids in the neighboring districts after a decade of a long disarmament exercise made it difficult for them to freely move with their guns.
Captain Deo Akiiki blamed the latest attacks on the slowness of the anti-stop safety units. On Wednesday this week the warriors raided Ogangota, Palamu, Ngariyam sub-county.
The attack left the LCI chairperson of Palamu dead Richard Ogwang dead and hundreds of people displaced.
