Fort portal municipality mayor Asaba Edison Ruyonga has vowed to challenge division leaders who sabotage government programmes.
He said there are some divisions which do not disperse money allocated to some groups for development projects.
Asaba said this while handing over cheques to the 3 groups of Kamengo united project dealing in breed baking and craft making; Tweyimukye group in kijanju south division ,Tweyimukye women of Mpanga group tree nursery.
The mayor handed over a cheque of 2,220,000 to each group at a function held at the Mayor’s office in boma fort portal municipality Kabarole district.
He also urged them to form as many groups as they can because the money is there to be given to organised groups.
During the meeting, it was revealed that more than 27 groups have received over 24 million shillings and more than 23 groups have applied for the money.
