Police in Kampala is holding Ben Turyasingura the principal state attorney at the registrar of companies for drunk driving and causing an accident.

Police spokesperson Idd Ibn Ssenkumbi says Turyasingura who was driving a prado number UAK750S excessively took alcohol to the extent that he could not speak sensibly.

Ssenkumbi says Turyasingura is likely to be charged with drunk driving and causing accident.

Ssenkumbi says the Police appeals to Ugandans to cooperate and fight accidents because many lives have been lost citing 17 for only last week attributing the cause to drunk driving and lack of road discipline among others.
