As Southern Sudan prepares to start off tomorrow as the youngest African state, Aruu County MP Odonga’ Otto has called for the support of the new state by the other East African states.
Southern Sudan broke off from the North as a fulfillment of the comprehensive peace deal for the pacification of the South, a deal which will be concretized tomorrow with the declaration of the Independent South.
Otto says only Uganda is interested in seeing the south peaceful because Kenya, which boarders the south is only interested in business links with the country.
He also contends that at a moment, only President Museveni is in the sight shape of mind to help the North because if the south is not peaceful, Northern Uganda will never have peace since Joseph Kony is still hiding in the region.
The south, which is dominated by the black Christians, will mark their independence from the North dominated by Moslem Arabs.
Commenting about the strike of the traders in Kampala, Otto says the situation may not be addressed since the Government is the biggest victim of the run away dollar prices.
He says the Government printed so much money during the campaigns, saying Museveni spent a third of the money that Obama spent in his campaigns.
He advises that the only solution to the problem is by withdrawing the so much money from the circulation.
