President Yoweri Museveni has asked religious leaders to spearhead the gospel of fighting evils like mob justice, corruption, homosexuality and drug abuse in the country.
Museveni says if Uganda is to develop, religious leaders should also lend a hand in spreading the gospel of transforming people so as to ensure unity, cooperation and harmony in the country.
This was contained in a speech read for him by the minister of local government Adolf Mwesige, during Golden Jubilee celebrations of Fort Portal Diocese.
The president commended the diocese for supporting Government programmes by providing services in health, education and spiritual areas.
