The president of the republic of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is to be a warded an ABETO Africa peace award for his distinguished leadership that has led the country to the current social and economic development.
The award was announced by the chairman of always be tolerant organization (ABETO) Moses Musana during celebration to commemorate the Nelson Mandela day at Kololo secondary school.
Always be tolerant organization was mandated by the Nelson Mandela to champion activities in recognition of Nelson Mandela struggle and effort in the fight f south Africa’s apartheid regime.
Uganda on Sunday joined the rest of the world to commemorate the Mandela day with the call to leaders to take lesions from Libya, Tunisia, Egypt , Yemeni, Syria and others in that category not to enslave the people they lead.
Moses Musana says just like Nelson Mandela, president Yoweri Museveni spent most of his time fighting and was never deterred from his straggle to bring dignity to Ugandans.
A leading scholar professor Saidi Abidi described Nelson Mandela as a great patriotic and
nationalist who surprised the world by forgiving his oppressors.
The first secretary in charge of political Desta at the south African High commission Ohisi Johaniso Buhali argued the students to be disciplined, focused and develop the spirit of patriotism for good future leadership of this country.
