The head of Buikwe revival church in Buikwe district pastor Ronald Kagumba has been arrested for alleged theft of a car.
Pastor Kagumba and his companion Fred Kuhebya hired a car registration number UAB 559B from tom Mugisha a member of Subi Revival church in Najembe sub-county and failed to return it to the owner.
According to the chief investigation officer Henry Ayebaale, the pastor hired the car a month ago promising to pay 70,000 shillings per day.
The suspect did not fulfill the promise forcing the owner to report the matter to police. The two men were arrested on Friday morning from a motor garage in Nakawa just as they were trying to change the color of the vehicle and some car parts.
They are currently being held at Lugazi police awaiting to be taken to court for trial.
