Police are heavily deployed in and around Kampala International University to avert a pending confrontation of a group of youths from the five divisions of Kampala protesting the sale of a piece of land meant for the youth park in Kampala .
The youth park land is being encroached on by investors arguing that the 5 acre piece of land should be reduced to 2.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Ibin Ssenkumbi says Police is deployed to ensure security in the area.
He says the youths are not supposed to be in the areas and that he asked them to vacate, all in vain.
Ssenkumbi notes that last night, the alleged group of youths, with the help of law enforcement officers took over the place and dismantled the stalls that had earlier been constructed.
The area LC 1 was last month nearly lynched by the same group accusing him of selling the said land.
The youths claim that the land in question was given to them by Government in 1996.
