Cardinal Emanuel Wamala has asked Ugandans to pray for peace and end of poverty in the republic of Uganda.
Wamala speaking at Gaba Seminary said that Christians should dedicate special prayers for the suffering people in Uganda.
He says prayers are enough to touch on the country’s leaders to work for peace, prosperity, unity and development.
The cardinal has also urged the police and other security organs to use minimum force whenever they come out to quash demonstrations. He says the culture of beating up demonstrators, breaking their bones, killing some is satanic.
He also urges Ugandans not to throw stones to the security operatives during demonstrations. The cardinal urges both the public and the government to embrace prayers and dialogue to solve the country’s problems.
