Parliament approves 43.5 billion for KCCA to work on roads

Parliamentary committee on physical infrastructure has passed 43.5bn for the construction of roads in the Kampala capital city authority.

According to the committee chairperson eng Dr Gabriel Ajedra the money will be used in three areas of ovary, reconstruction and repairs.

He also said that another area to be handled will be the drainages. Ajedra says that a lot of roads in Kampala lack sufficient drainage and this have led to the deterioration of roads.

He says that the program will take five years where by each year KCC will be handling a section of those roads.

Dr. Ajedra says that as the committee they have stressed the issue of drainage and therefore KCCA must look at it in a different way since it’s the major cause of problems on Kampala roads.
