The international auditing group, the independent evaluation group has asked the World Bank to reconsider its governance and anti-corruption strategy.
The group says the World Bank should focus more on helping member countries improve their own accountabilities policies and institutions.
In report published recently the auditor group say the World Bank focus only on improving its own resources and institutions to deal with anti-corruption issues since adopting its strategy on better governance in 2007.
The banking increased commitments to help its member countries improve their capacity to fight corruption but these commitments have yet to translate into results the group noted.
