A group of NRM Members of Parliament considered as ‘rebels’ have vowed never to relent criticizing corrupt government officials, bad laws and foreign companies that just come to fleece tax payers in the country.
The MPs were today addressing a press conference to answer President Yoweri Museveni’s remarks where he referred to them as sabotours of government prgrammes.
While campaigning for NRM contestant in the Entebbe Municipality Parliamentary by-elections, Museveni told the people of Entebbe that he would move to expel NRM leaders who he said sabotage government programmes by joining opposition MPs to criticize.
The MPs led by Lwemiyaga MP Theodore Ssekikubo told journalists at Parliament that if criticizing corruption and bad laws in government is what the President calls sabotage, they are ready for expulsion.
The MPs that included Kampala Cental MP Muhammed Nsereko, that of Rwampara Vincent Kyamadidi, Wilfred Niwagaba of Ndorwa East and Henry Musasizi of Rubanda East say they will not bow down because of the President’s intimidation.
