The first Microsoft innovation center in Uganda has been launched at the faculty if Information Technology at Makerere university Uganda the second country in the sub-Saharan African to have it.
The center will encourage ICT innovations in Uganda, Software development for agriculture and mobile phones technology.
Launched by the ICT minister Dr Ruhakana Rugunda, the center will also provide ICT innovations to support the small and medium Enterprises among others.
Rugunda has further attributed the fairing economic activity to the recent technological innovations like the mobile phone technologies which he should be supported more.
