The Chairman of Uganda People Congress (UPC) party, Maj. Edward Rurangaranga has said that by constitution David Pulkol and Odit are still officials of the party.
Addressing the media in Kampala today, Rurangaranga reiterated that the party constitution does not give the party president powers to expel the officials who were elected by the General Assembly.
Rurangaranga says that the party is planning to hold a meeting next year that will decide whether Odit and Pulkol should be suspended.
On 12 December the UPC party President Olara Otunu suspended David Pulkol and Odit from the offices of the Secretary for Policy and Mobilization and Secretary General respectively on allegations of mismanagement of funds.
