Democratic Party (DP) president, Norbert Mao is to give out medals to some of its members who worked hard for Brenda Nabukenya to win Luweero district woman MP race.
A source in DP tells this journalist that Mao is so pleased that after 26 years the party has got an MP from Luweero.
We hear that Mao says that even if the party has many MPs on its ticket, Luweero MP battle was a ‘waterloo’ and that the people who worked hard to ensure that the party wins Luweero polls would get the following medals.
Wobulenzi, Kikyusa, Nyimbwa, Luweero town council and Zirobwe. Some of the people expected to get these medals include Kampala Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago, MP Brenda Nabukenya, and MP Sewungu among others.
We hear that the venue for the award of the medals would be Nakivubo stadium, and it would be Mao to decorate the receivers of medals.
