Kampala Lord mayor announces 2012 year workplan

The Kampala Capital City Authority {KCCA} Lord mayor Hajji Ssalongo Elias Lukwago has announced the 2012 as the year for action saying that all bickering, election and appointment conflicts are to be left behind in 2011.

He says that the first week in 2012 is for moving to people to mobilize them to handle the cleanliness in the city while on 6th January KCCA is to hold business committee aimed at focusing on how traders could run there businesses.

He says they are to tour markets and review there their renovation plans including for both tax parks and for drainage channels reconstructions, installing road lights and buying dust bins since all their budgets were passed out in this financial year.

Lukwago notices that all companies that are responsible for Kampala road construction and haven’t finished the work are also to be reviewed saying billions of shillings were passed in this financial year for them.

He cautions those misinforming people that the Lord Mayor is ceremonial saying such loose talk should be stopped before this year ends.
