We have been told by the authorities in Buganda Kingdom that the new born Buganda prince, Richard Semakokiro and his mother are currently inLondon.

Several Ugandans especially the people of Buganda have been so inquisitive regarding details of Prince Ssemakokiro, and his mother Rose Nansikombi.

According to the source, Semakokiro and his mother will return to Uganda soon but still the place where they will be residing will not be open to the public until all the rituals are performed on the mother and the child.

 The Katikkiro of Buganda John Baptist Walusimbi announced the birth of Ssemakookiro a couple of weeks back. The six-month-old prince was named Semakokiro after the 27th King of Buganda, Wasajja Ssemakookiro Nabbunga, who reigned the kingdom from 1797 – 1814. According toBugandatraditions, a prince expecting to take over the throne is not supposed to stay inside the palace. He is supposed to grow up like any other child.
