We are told that a group of about 17 US commandos from the CIA and FBI have been sent to Uganda to boost UPDF’s ability in using satellite imaging to track down the movements of the reminants of LRA rebels who are led by Joseph Kony.
The first contingent of US commandos was sent to Uganda to do the same in October and the latest arrived on December 4.
The US commandos are expected to help UPFD and other armies in the Great Lakes region to track down Kony and his rebels.
The LRA leaders including Kony are needed by the international criminal court over abuse of human rights and displacing thousands of people in northern Uganda from their houses. A source in the government which gave us this tip declined to tell when the commandos would get back to US or about when the regional army with the help of America will capture Kony.
