The continent of Africa and the world at large was shocked today when a prominent lawyer who has worked inUganda,Kenya,Rwanda,Tanzania,South Africa,Botswana,Zimbabweand England (UK) committed suicide inUgandatoday.

Christopher Nkina, a 64-year old lawyer burnt himself to ash over failed love affair. The Learned Friend has been a   resident of Katojo cell, Kijuguta ward in Northern Division of Kabale district, in northernUganda.

Nkina set himself ablaze and died on spot according to his wife, area residents, relatives and children. He burnt himself using petrol. The lawyer who had already retired the law service asked his family members  to sleep in the Boys quarters Sunday night and at around 1:00am they heard a loud explosion in the main house and when they opened the doors the main house  was raging fire.

One of the four wives of the deceased, Florence Nkiina, 58, confirmed the death of the lawyer and said the police have allowed them to continue with the burial arrangement.
