It seems Ugandans know how to make money from all odds. The latest news we have got from South Africa indicates that Ugandans there are to organise their own Miss Uganda beauty contest. The Ugandan made beauty contest show; the first of its kind in South Africa will take place on June 23rd this year. The venue for the show is Pretoria City Hall, South Africa.
We are told that the Miss Uganda beauty contest is being organised by a South Africa based Ugandan only identified as Nankya, a mother of three children and a fashion promoter in South Africa. Nankya trades her fashion under Star Qt trade logo. According to records, Nankya, 26, has stayed in South Africa for the last 10 years.
Nankya hopes that thousands of Ugandans living in South Africa will attend the beauty pageant, since she also plans to have Ugandan music stars such as Dr. Jose Chameleone of Leone Island and ‘His Excellence’ Bobi Wine of the Firebase Crew at the show. Nankya plans to design all clothes that the models and artistes will put on the day of the event.
