Police to arrest Besigye, and MPs Betty Nambooze, Mathias Mpuuga, Ibrahim Semujju over violent A4C rallies

Police are about to arrest former presidential candidate, Col. Kiiza Besigye and MPs Betty Nambooze, Joseph Sewungu, Mathias Mpuuga, Brenda Nabukenya and Ibrahim Semujju over reportedly organising violent activists for change rallies.

Other politicians on the wanted list of police are Muwanga Kivumbi, Moses Kabuusu, Ingrid Turinawe and Ali Mulyanyama. The sources in police told our informers that the police force is investigating cases where the leaders of A4C mobilised civilians to throw stones to police.

The Kampala Metropolitan Police Commander Andrew Kaweesi says that some of the political leaders of A4C in the recent passed organized rallies but failed to control their supporters from becoming a nuisance.

Mpuuga when contacted denied allegations that A4C supporters throw stones at the security forces and members of the public during their rallies. The MP says that it’s the police which are to blame for all the violence that occur at A4C rallies.
