A lot has been reported in the media about the 21 year old armed Somali insurgency. Last week the London Somalia Conference took place inEuropeand many key players attended the meeting. TheLondonconference followed the Kampala-Somalia Conference that took place in June 2011. It was this Kampala Somalia conference that extended the leadership of the life of the Transitional Federal Government inSomaliafor one year.
The London Conference was significant because it brought together all the international players who have a stake inSomalia. But still many people don’t know the key players in the Somali insurgency.
