Uganda’s opposition leader Col. Kiiza Besigye is back in Kampala. He arrived at Entebbe international airport on Friday amidst tight security.
The tough talking security men and women denied him a right to greet his supporters at Entebbe Airport or to address them. The journalists were equally blocked from covering him. From Entebbe, Besigye who is also the leader of Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) went to Kajjansi for Activists for Change rally.
At the rally the police reportedly arrested dozens of his supporters and fired bullets in the air to disperse his supporters. But Besigye on a microphone asked the security operatives to do whatever is on their mind.
The A4C meeting was later cancelled following the heavy deployment of the security both in plain clothes and in uniform. Besigye vows that the rally will have to take place on Saturday at all costs!
