New research discoveries by scientists from Harvard Medical School indicate that eating too much red meat causes cancer and heart problems.
The same discoveries indicate that eating red meat is one of the factors leading to early death.
The scientists advise that the people eating red meat should substitute its intake with other protein sources. In Most African countries such as Uganda, Botswana and South Africa red meat is mainly available to people in middle class and those well-to-do families in urban areas.
The research discoveries also reveal that eating fast foods and taking too much alcohol reduces peoples’ life expectancy. Among poor families in Africa, meat is consumed on special occasions/cerebrations and when special visitors come.
