Kayihura transfers suspected opposition members in Uganda police to increase efficiency

Reports have started emerging in Uganda police circles that the inspector General of Police Lt. Gen. Kale Kayihura has transferred all police officers suspected to be supporting opposition politicians in order to improve efficiency in Uganda police force.

We have reliably learnt that Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Patrick Onyango has been transferred to the police headquarters in Kibuli from the Central Police Station (CPS).

ASP Ottur Joseph Okwakor has been transferred from Kampala to Lira (Central North), Superintendent of Police (SP) Annet Magoba has been taken to police headquarters in the Child and Family Protection department.

ASP Charles Musana has been transferred from Kampala to Soroti, SP Yassin Ndimwibo, and the regional community liaison officer is new commander for Kampala east.

Sources in security told us that there is a lot of disharmony in Uganda police. Some policemen allege that they are being witch hunted because they question the acts of brutality some of their colleagues employ on innocent civilians and opposition politicians.
