The long awaited battle of the music champions’ concert between ‘His Excellence’ Bobi Wine and Bebe Cool took place on Friday 4th 2012 at Kyadondo Rugby Club.
Forget insecurity, the police deployed heavily within and outside Kyadondo Rugby Club for the ‘battle of the champions’ concert. The police commanding officer at the scene Andrew Kaggwa says that they arrested some of the fans who attempted to cause chaos.
There was a big turn up of revelers. But it seems Bobi Wine over mobilised because majority of the fans were shouting his name.
The show started at 5pm and His Excellence Bobi Wine was the first one to jump on stage. He sang Mr Kataala song and a large crowd of fans went wild.
Whenever Bobi Wine would mention the name Kataala in his song the revelers would shout ‘Bebe Cool.’ Many people refer to Bebe Cool as Mr. Kataala after Bobi Wine’s song Mr. Kataala. The good thing there was no commotion between Bobi Wine and Bebe Cool’s supporters.
Thousand of people went to Kyadondo Rugby Club despite the fears they had because of the 2010 terrorist bomb attacks which killed over 76 people ad scores went with fatal injuries.
