Types of phone tapping carried out in Uganda

It is official that Uganda government taps phones of citizens the people suspect to be against the government of president Museveni. According to sources in security agencies there are two types of phone tapping carried out in Uganda. That is ‘a trap and trace’ which produces a log showing what numbers were called, and the dates, times and durations of the calls.
The second category is that one which intercepts the content of the call. There are thousands of trap and trace interceptions in Uganda vs hundreds of content interceptions each year because they are much easier to produce.

Experts conversant with phone tapping argue that it is one of the reasons why the government of Uganda wants every single line positively identified to some one’s name, though not registering may not be a good decision you can think of don’t be intimidated …they may have an easier task in tracing their taps but there is always a solution to any thing.
