Why 4GC pressure group hangs in balance?
By Gerald Businge on May 4, 2012
Following the ban the government last month put on the activities of opposition Activists for Change (A4C), the people who were behind A4C like Muwanga Kivumbi, MP Mathias Mpuuga and Bernard Lubega Seggona formed another pressure group code named ‘For God and My Country (4GC).’
But many people wonder why the new political pressure group has not picked airwaves the way A4C had done it.
The reason is that not every Ugandan likes to lean on Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), Democratic Party (DP) or Uganda Peoples Congress (UPC).
But the 4GC activists have gone ahead to front the new pressure group as an FDC programme. This is a grave mistake to the opposition cause of liberating the country.
Many people who would have loved to join 4GC just won’t because they know it is seen as a an FDC thing and the administrators of 4GC have failed to desist its members from taking political parties in front though consider one cause of regime change.
