Today we have decided to tell you how HIV/AIDS is spread in Uganda. The medical doctors at Mulago Hospital and at the Ministry of Health-Uganda say that HIV/AIDS spread is on increase in the country due to lack of openness by people living with HIV/Aids to those free of the virus.

Uganda’s HIV country director, Reverend Moses Luswata says that the people living with HIV/AIDS have done little to minimise its spread.

The coordinator of He Intends Victory (HIV Uganda), Solomon Kitaka says that HIV spread is high in Uganda because many HIV-positive people hide their status for fear of victimised in the public. Solomon says that many people in Uganda are still ashamed about other people knowing their HIV status. He says some Ugandans still fail to take their drugs. Solomon and Luswata were speaking at a tea party organised by HIV Uganda on Entebbe road.
