Police now want all motor cycle operators to dress uniforms as a way of reducing crime and accidents in the country.
The police have already suggested these string regulations for motor cyclists operating inUgandato the districts’ authorities for implementation.
Among the regulations forwarded to authorities, the police want motor cycle riders from different parts of the country to wear different uniforms and also have permanent stages for their operations.
The Metropolitan Police Spokesman Ibin Ssenkumbi says that if the authorities concerned pass the bylaws, the police will be in position to reduce crime in the country.
The police say that once the authorities allocate numbers and also avail motor cycle riders with uniforms to enable the police identify the law breakers with ease, the insecurity caused by the motor cycle riders would have been checked.
